So excited to share with all my New Yorkers (& Jersey peeps!) that Sea The City based in Jersey City, NJ, has recently launched the first ever hot tub tour boat in NYC! My friends and I were lucky enough to be a few of the first to ever to try it out, and let me tell ya it was AMAZING. We truly had the time of our lives and it’s definitely something we want to do again! I also highly recommend if looking for a fun/unique activity for a bachelor/bachelorette party, wedding weekend, or girls/guys weekend in the city!
You can book this tour via Sea The City’s website! Their prices definitely depend on if you go during the week or the weekend, semi-private or private, and the amount of people you have! To make clear semi-private does NOT mean you are sharing a hot tub with strangers. That just means you are getting one hot tub completely to yourself and your group – there are TWO tubs on board the boat.
The prices for semi-private start @ $349 and go up from there, depending on size. For the completely private boat you can book for $1,500 and can have up to 20 people on board. Which would be a great option for a bachelor/bachelorette party! You can use code MIMOSA20 for 20% off as well. Valid until 10/9.
One of the biggest questions I got was – “Is there a bathroom on board (that isn’t the hot tub itself) – YES THERE IS!” There is a large bathroom and changing room. There are also really nice facilities at the Liberty Landing Marina where the boat is docked and takes off from. So don’t worry about wearing your bathing suit there. You can always change when you arrive!
The next question is – ALCOHOL! So the boats are BYOB. They provide coolers and ice, and you can bring what you’d like. I’d recommend seltzers, wine or beer! They do ID so you have to be 21. If you’d like to check out a video of the experience, my TikTok went VIRAL. You can see it here!! 🙂
LASTLY! It was NOT cold. We went October 3rd and felt great temperature wise. The evening was chilly but you are in a hot tub so you are pretty much submerged under the hot water. We did the 6-7:3o pm tour – therefor we’d get the best views and the sunset! If that’s something you’d also like to achieve in your photos, I would make sure to check sunset times around the date you’re booking the boat.
Finally – out of personal experience there is no “I’m not going in the hot tub”. So if you think you can go and hang out on the sides, that’s really not an option. The boat itself gets pretty soaked from the bumps on the Hudson, so be prepared to be in the hot tub for the whole hour and a half. Which means…. BRING A SWIMSUIT!!!
I hope I covered all of your questions! If you have anymore please feel free to reach out!

Wow you are really enjoying NYC. Good.
