This is for all of my Aries and Taurus birthday humans! I know this is not how we envisioned celebrating our special days but there are many ways to still make it as fun, if not more! To be honest this was the first bday I celebrated without any stress or stings attached. I generally am planning a party, making dinner/brunch reservations and coordinating friend groups. Not having to worry about that this year was a dream. I am also so thankful to Kyle and his family for making my day so special.
I wanted to round up a few unique & fun ways to celebrate if you have your day coming up! Or if you just want some fun new ideas for Quarantine!
1: Tie-Dye Party! Kyle’s mom bought me a tie dye kit for my birthday and we had SO much fun using it. The kits are selling out fast but I was able to find a few still in stock. I am obsessed with how my sweatsuit came out and it was nice to make something for myself for the first time IN AWHILE!!
2: Order in From Your Favorite Restaurants! This is a great way to celebrate your birthday while also supporting small businesses. Take the time to treat yourself and spend a little money on a special meal! While also breaking out the champagne and having a little boozy brunch. 🙂
3: Drinking Board Games. I wrote a post about my favorite board games (linked here!) but I also wanted to include a more condensed list of ones that we have been playing non-stop below! If you are quarantined by yourself or only with one other person, set up a group Facetime or zoom call to play with friends.
4: Get Your Friends & Family Together for Zoom Trivia… about YOU! My family has been doing a weekly Zoom call all about with trivia about our family! It is so much fun and we laugh the entire time. How we do it, is we have a new host each week. This week I am the host, so I’ll plan the questions and how it’ll be set up! A lot of the questions are about the family itself which include fun facts, trivia about family vacations, current and past relationships (lol), as well as fun things like everyone’s coffee orders or last meals. I definitely recommend trying it out!
5: Online Painting Party via Paint Bar! Offering Private Parties via Zoom! A really fun idea that I recently came across was hosting a private Wine & Paint class. They offer them at Paint Bar, and host via Zoom. They will mail you paint, brushes and a canvas and all you have to do is log in and pour yourself a glass of wine. Such a fun idea if you’re bored or looking for something different to do during quarantine.
6: In Home/Apartment Scavenger Hunt! This weekend was actually supposed to be my older sisters bachelorette party. We were so bummed when we all came to the unfortunate decision to cancel it. 🙁 However her fiance planned an amazing at home scavenger hunt instead! He got tons of decorations and hid stuff throughout their apartment for her to find. Including alcohol, gifts that we sent, a pinata and more! If you have a significant others bday coming up, this could be a great way to celebrate it!
Orrrrrrrr you can just stand on the street corner waiting for people to honk LOL. 🙂
