It has started to feel like debatably the best season of the year — and, like you and me, New York City is HERE FOR IT. For this Friday’s Fab 5, I’ve listed the 5 things I’m looking forward to most this summer; enjoy, and of course, let us know if you need any suggestions on what to do on all those Summer Fridays you have in the City ~

Yankees/Mets Games
Suns out, buns out — and by buns, I mean the Hall of Fame booties that exist in the beautiful fit of baseball pants, obviously. Not only am I fan of a man in uniform, but I beautifully enjoy kicking up on a warm summer day, cold beer in hand, and watching some good baseball. Baseball games in the summer make for the perfect date night, after-work hang with your coworkers, Saturday spot with your girls, or place to just chill/relax after a crazy weekend out.
Rooftop Season
As one NYCer might say, it’s ROOFTOP SZN. Name a better thing to look forward to than going to happy hour ~ outdoors in gorg weather ~ after spending 1/2 of the day slumped at a desk slowly going blind from staring at your computer screen. My fave rooftop bars in the city include (but are not limited to): Refinery Rooftop, Gallow Green, Spyglass, and my friend Joe’s rooftop. We’re also SO excited for the newest pop-up rooftop bar launching in Williamsburg this summer, Lemon’s @ The Wythe Hotel. More intel to come soon 😉
Movie Nights in the Park
In the winters, I always find myself looking forward to the ice skating rinks that pop-up throughout popular city parks; during the summer, it’s the movie nights in the park I look forward to. For all of you out there ballin’ on a budget like me, this summer activity is the perf way to spend some of your summer nights without totally taking a $$$ hit. Grab a blanket, bottle of rosé, your classic movie snack faves, and head over to parks like Bryant Park or Hoboken’s Pier 13 (a little out of the city, but so cute) — I can assure you that at one point during the night, you’re bound to feel how lucky you are to live in such an amazing city/community.
Beach Weekends (at the Shore, in the Hamptons…)
If it’s not obvious enough, being out-of-commission on the sand is the best way to spend your summer holidays + weekends + OOO days. If your friend, your friend’s friend, or your friend’s friend’s coworker doesn’t have a beach house you can crash at, renting out an AirBnB with a few close friends is def the way to go. If you’re planning some relaxation time at the Jersey Shore, NJ transit line is the easiest way to get there, especially if you’re just planning on going for the day!
Festivals, Concerts, & Events Galore
For my babes that love some good fun, the events I’m most hyped about this summer: PinkNic (July 19-20), GovBall (May 31-June 2), Belmont Stakes (June 8), GMA Summer Concert Series in Central Park (all summer long)
