When I think thick belts, I tend to think Snooki circa Jersey Shore days. But there is a way to pull off a thick belt (without looking trashy) to perfectly cinch the waist in all the right places. I have been loving this wrap belt from Anthropologie and have been pairing it with fuller bottoms to bring the eye to the smaller part of my body. When I got this skirt I was channeling my inner Man Repeller and wanted to pair it with a baggier sweater – but when I tried the combo, it was a hard pass. I opted for a tight bodysuit to balance out the large bottom to create a better silhouette for my body and paired with a camel coat after I was inspired by In Style’s camel round-up and the “You Can Do: The New Menswear” in the November issue. I am usually not a diamond gal, but I fell in love with this diamond band from Anjolee and it has become an everyday piece. The simplicity of the band is perfect to wear with more eccentric outfits because it completes a look without competing for attention.
For this shoot, we headed to Union Square Park in Manhattan. There really is nothing better than markets in NYC. Whether a flea market or farmers market, strolling through the crowds and browsing the various stands, is such a perfect way to meet people in the community and find unlikely treasures! Every other morning I walk through the Union Square Market on my way to work and absolutely savor this part of my morning. If you are traveling to New York for the holidays or staycationing in the city, be sure to check out some of our favorite markets below!
Smorgasburg
While the outdoor Markets are closed for the season, head to the indoor location at Industry City in Sunset Park to divulge in a delicious grilled cheese from Milk Truck NYC or get your instagram ready for the famous Ramen Burger.

Make sure you stop by this artisan market after you have finished all of your shopping in Soho. The people watching is just as fun as strolling through the booths.

That's a really cool skirt! I've never seen anything like it before! I have to agree, it definitely pairs better with a fitted top than a baggy sweatshirt 😉
