I wish as a fashion blogger I could say that I dress up every single day, but unfortunately there are days that I just want to put on a pair of jeans and call it a day. These jeans in particular I LOVE. I actually own two light wash flared jeans in preparation for the fall. It is truly amazing how quickly styles come full circle in fashion history, the seventies are back!! With New York Fashion Week just around the corner, I project seeing a ton of 70s revival in guests and bloggers.
In my opinion sometimes casual wear makes you look the most on trend. I find this often in one of my favorite blogs Jo & Kemp, she makes causal wear look so amazing, you literally want to live in flannels, jeans and crew neck sweatshirts.
I have also recently just returned from Colorado on a family hiking trip in the Rockies, which was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Makes a girl about to move to New York question what the hell she is doing. I once read this quote that said, “I want to live by the mountains, in a big city, along the ocean and by a lake.” I have always felt like that. I have never been exactly certain where I have wanted to end up in life but I do feel this energy while in New York City that I have yet to find anywhere else. As all of my friends are moving to Chicago sometimes I get an emotion that I should be doing that too but then I realize that my 20’s are the times to explore, learn, discover. Do something different and live somewhere that makes you feel “alive.” So cheers to 26 days until I am an official Brooklyn resident.
