The bliss of finally moving into my new apartment is officially settling in. For some background – for the first three years of living in NYC, I lived in Brooklyn. I fell in love immediately with how quiet, quaint and cozy it felt. I thought to myself, that I would never leave. Well things quickly changed when the gd drama of the L train came over us all. My boyfriend and I quickly decided to flee into Manhattan and now here we are!
So for this move, I knew I needed to find a moving company that would make this whole transition seamless. As Kyle and I were both working from home the day of our move, it just wasn’t possible to do it ourselves. Also neither of us had the courage to want to drive a Uhaul across the Williamsburg Bridge lol. So we searched through a few moving companies within NYC and found Flatrate Moving! They actually are dubbed the #1 moving company in NYC – for those curious! We were so excited about the packages they offered. Flatrate was able to mail us boxes directly to our homes to pack personal items, then when they got to my home they helped me finish the packing. Which included all of my glassware, and even some of Kelly’s leftover china (which didn’t get broken into a million pieces, like what happened with her movers #shade lol). I also wanted to find a moving company that was able to make 2 stops and accommodate both Kyle and myself. As we were each going to the same address it made sense! Flatrate was able to accommodate that request in picking up my stuff then his! In the end both of our moves ended up only taking took 3 hours altogether. Which is amazing right?!
We finally made it to our new apartment in the city and I felt so thankful in having the movers with me. It was the hottest day of the year in NYC and they helped get every single box from the car on the street, and into our 4th floor apartment. Angels!!
Overall I would recommend these movers and company in a heart beat. Moving in Manhattan is never easy but they made it feel so absolutely seamless. I am here to also answer any questions you may have regarding! Just leave a comment below 🙂

Nice! Enjoy your new place in the city.
Great…
