Fall is at its peak right now in New York City and living in Manhattan you don’t always get the opportunity to soak in the leaves changing and nature truly showing off. So Kyle and I decided to take a little Sunday overnight trip up to the Catskills in Upstate New York last weekend. Through a few recommendations from other blogs we decided to stay at Scribner’s Lodge. & oh boy were we pleased with that decision! It is the cutest lodge nestled right into the mountains of the Catskills with gorgeous views of Hunter Mountain and the incredible changing of the leaves all around you. The property is stunning with old fireplaces, urban furniture and any board game you could think of.
Room wise we stayed in their King bungalow room which had a perfect view of the mountains. I was shocked waking up to complete orange and yellow out my window instead of my normal city view. The room was big, spacious and had the perfect touches of horror novels and fresh flowers. My favorite part was the gorgeous balcony, which I took about 1000 photos on.
Because we were only there for 1 night we chose to do both lunch and dinner at their resident restaurant – Prospect! I could tell it was good from the moment we walked in because the place was jam packed with not only people staying at the lodge but locals in the area. Everything from the cocktails to the burgers to the wine was excellent.
If you are looking to escape the city, I say look no further than this perfect Catskills location and trip. Taking a step back and away and surrounding yourself with nature is so important. Especially when we are working full time and mainly indoors. I am so looking forward to my next trip this coming winter!

Looks like the perfect fall getaway!! Your photos are beautiful!
