Oooo lala we got a no pants party over here. So here is the thing, sometimes you just got to let your true flags fly. Say you don’t want to wear pants… don’t wear em. It is so easy these days to get caught up in the reg of things. I find this especially true with fashion blogging. Your feed is a continuous compilation of blogger after blogger after blogger. We have to mix up those shots sometimes! So I broke my “basic” mode by deciding no pants, no shoes, no shirt, and lets take pics in the damn hallway.
I recently read this amazing thought by one of my favorite bloggers Jessica Quirk of What I Wore. I first met Jessica when I worked as her assistant my senior year of college. This soon turned into babysitter/personal assistant when she had her baby boy, Felix! I am so inspired by Jessica because she has been a “fashion blogger” even before the term “fashion blogger” existed. She see’s this profession/hobby from such a different light. Her latest 52 Thoughts spoke about the uniqueness that has gone out of the blogging world. After reading this piece I was extremely inspired to mix up M&M. Blogging is the one place you aren’t supposed to fit in. You aren’t supposed to conform. And you most certainly should never lose sight of who you are, in your style and your self.
Therefor… take your pants off. Take pics in your home. Take pics with your best friend. Wear what makes you feel comfortable even if it isn’t $1,798 or going to get 800+ Instagram likes.
