Call me Britney or call me Cher (as in Clueless not Moonstruck), call me whatever you like cause this slip-dress-wearing gal is here to stay. For those who dare to wear their sleepwear as daywear, the slip dress is the ultimate Fall must-have. Sure, the Fall temps can put a hinder on your daytime negligee but layer with the right stuff and you can transition that slinky number from Summer to Fall. I paired my silk silhouette with a long sleeve turtle neck bodysuit and thigh high boots so I could cover up and keep warm on a chilly Brooklyn morning. I get it, a silky slip dress isn’t in everyone’s comfort zone but if you try pairing with a a jacket or layer over a pair of jeans, you can still partake in the 90’s trend.
Courtney and I attend events day in and day out and are starting a weekly event recap with all of the highlights and previews we attend throughout the week! We constantly get questions about how we get invited to events and what they are for, so we thought we would round up everything for you guys in one place! See below for a couple of our highlights from the past week.
Bulleit Bourbon Wilderness Retreat
Last weekend we had the pleasure of heading upstate to attend Wilderness Field Notes at Morningside Camps & Cottages on behalf of Bulleit Bourbon. Along with a few other influencers and New York City residents, we enjoyed everything from yoga, to hiking, to water painting classes….and of course a shit ton of bourbon.
Dressbarn Fall Ad Campaign
We trucked on over to Meatpacking to Industia Studios to celebrate the launch of their new “More Than” Fall Ad campaign.
Karl Lagerfeld Spring/Summer Preview
We had a chance to swing by the New York showroom to preview the famous designer’s upcoming Spring/Summer collection. The color palette and classic silhouettes were absolutely stunning!
IPL Photofacial with Dr. Shafer
I have to say, I am a newbie in the facial world but this laser treatment which aims for complete rejuvenation of redness, brown spots, large pores, fighting, tone and texture, was pretty dang amazing. To cover up the redness after the treatment, they applied Oxygenetix which is a breathable foundation which completely covers but feels like you are wearing nothing.
