Greetings from Las Vegas! Kicking off this Friday by letting our readers know that we have teamed up with Santa Margherita Wines for the year, to bring you NYC hosting tips for every season. We felt a picnic in the park was the perfect occasion to breakout the first round of bubbly during the warmer weather. Below we go through 2 separate “Spring Picnics in the Park” and what wine we drank with each!
To begin, this was the first year I ventured into Central Park to see the gorgeous cherry blossoms. It was the absolute perfect backdrop. My dad and step mom were in town and instead of doing a lunch indoors we chose to find a spot in the park to set up shop. We bought an array cheeses as well as a bottle of the Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. We chose to go with a white wine as it is much lighter and easier to drink in the sun. Their Pinot is light, airy and DELICIOUS. Overall it was the perfect way to kick off the spring season with family. I strongly suggest a picnic in Central Park at least once this Spring!
Earlier in the Spring.. when the blooms had not quite blossomed entirely we did a separate picnic with friends in McCarron Park in Williamsburg. It was a bit dreary unfortunately and the tree’s had not yet started to transition. However we have learned through hosting that it is not always about the scenery but more about the people you have with you. We planned a super fun Santa Margherita filled day with Courtney of Color me Courtney & Lex of Lexicon of Style. We brought fun parasols, the perfect bottle of Santa Margherita Sparkling Rosé , and so many laughs. It really was the perfect afternoon to uncork extraordinary.
