Here we are for our second installment of hosting with Santa Margherita Wines! As always we love to give you all suggestions/tips and show how we are enjoying this summer weather. Today we are focusing on ways to enjoy two of our favorite varietals from Santa Margherita wines – Pinot Grigio and Sparkling Rosé !
There is no debate that Sparkling Rosé really is the drink of summertime . We have always loved sipping on this bubbly in our backyard – which in NYC means our fire escape – lol. One of our favorite summer memories of this apartment is going out there sunrise or sunset to drink, laugh, eat, tell stories and try to not annoy our neighbors.
For a quick and easy summer soiree all you really need is a few glasses of Santa Margherita Sparkling Rosé, flowers, a blanket a fire escape or a backyard if you’re lucky, and good friends. One of our favorite things to pair this bottle of Rosé back to is salty snacks! We love doing a table of assorted cheeses/nuts for when we have friends over to drink wine, but there is just something about also having those salty options to balance out the sweet! Whether that be homemade trail mix, chips or pretzels.
Next up we will bring you through how we are enjoying Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio this summer! For starters if you are a NYC local or someone traveling to New York soon – I highly, highly recommend New York Harbor Tours. This specific tour allows you to bring your group of friends as well as your own drinks and food to enjoy NYC from the water privately! I was lucky enough to invite 5 of my closest friends out on a tour with David of NY Harbor Tours and we had the absolute greatest time.
It really was one of those nights, which I won’t forget! This group of friends in particular are HUGE wine drinkers so we sipped on endless amounts of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, which we paired with a fun fruit tray of kiwi, pears and strawberries. While also enjoying New York sites such as the Brooklyn Bridge, The Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and the Harbor. It’s one of the easiest ways to catch up with friends while also getting to pretend to be a tourist for a little while!
xoxo, Courtney
