On the last day of New York Fashion Week, Courtney and I attended the Alex Vinash runway show and we were absolutely blown away. From vibrant patterns, to intricate hand sewn beading, to the abundant use of tool, his new collection did not disappoint. Courtney and I looked at each other in the middle of the show and knew we had to work with the designer. I absolutely fell in love with this vibrant two piece set because of it’s unique print and bold colors.
I am on the shorter side so generally I would rule out a long sleeve top and pant set, but the cropped dimension of the top broke up the look so it didn’t overwhelm my body. I love being a positive body image for girls in the fashion world because let’s face it, we all can’t be 6’2″ and 110 lbs, nor should we want to! Just because I am not the ‘ideal’ body dimensions for higher fashion, doesn’t mean I can’t wear it. This is why I love that fashion blogging has become such a huge force – because now we see normal girls with healthy bodies as fashion role models as opposed to being held to an unobtainable weight standard. My point behind all of this, own your body and style with confidence and dare to stand out!
