Mimosas and Manhattan | Creative Instagram IP?

Okay so here is the deal people… I want to discuss Influencer Creative IP? I know what you are thinking, sounds ridiculous right but following this ARTICLE I have been a lot more cautious of this happening in the blogger world. So to be clear, I totally understand that we are influencers hence the “INFLUENCE” aspect of the word. I want people to buy what we are wearing, I want girls to feel more confident, and if wearing what we are advertising then we have done our job. The two of us have an obsession with fashion and mixing prints and colors and we want to spread that to the world.

However!!! When another influencer rips off your outfit, your photography, your editing, your background then presents that so called piece of artistry as their own.. it is not okay. So that leads me to the question.. Are we as bloggers entitled to creative intellectual property rights? Am I being dramatic?! MAYBE. However when titling yourself as an influencer you are giving your self a creative presence. Use that presence to CREATE. Run around this world, city, country and make magic of your own!

As this industry gets more and more and MORE competitive to make it in, I feel people are doing whatever they can to break into it. No matter if that being chasing an influencer you admire around the world duplicating her head to toe outfit, captions, backdrops. There has to be a line and we are determined to find it. We want to raise the awareness even if it is just a silly blog post that this is actually happening out there. It happened to one of my photos last week and it made me incredibly, sad/frustrated/ripped off.

At the end of the day I want to influence girls everywhere to be confident and be creative. Be inspired by influencers.
