There is nothing like waking up at 6:00am on a Thursday morning and having an impromptu picnic! I mean why not?! It is summertime in NYC and what better way to embrace the warm weather, morning sunlight, and serenity of the city before it gets taken over by tourists, business men and interns. We started the morning with a little help from our friends at Marks and Spencer London and Shopping Links! One of mine & Kelly’s FAVE style icons is Alexa Chung and she just completed this unreal amazing line with M&S. See it in full here. We couldn’t help but to think this capsule collection reminded us of rose, parks, picnics, and New York City. So we did just that! As New York is chalk full of hundreds of parks and green space we landed on Union Square Park for our spontaneous picnic pleasure. It was the perfect spot to nibble on cheese and crackers, sip Chloe Rose and have lots of laughs. We felt so easy breezy in our Marks and Spencer dresses and found it was the perfect contrast to our picnic rug!
Some of our other favorite spots in the city to have a spontaneous picnic are Washington Square Park, The Great Lawn in Central Park, McCarren Park in our hood Williamsburg, Bryant Park & of course Union Square!
