Wanting to mix up your current quarantine routine? Get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors of New York City?? Well! I have rounded up a few different, unique and fun outdoor activities that you can currently do in NYC, while still social distancing! The below range from Jersey City/Hoboken all the way to the Bronx & Brooklyn. I also have a nice little discount code for one! Check them out below and let me know what you think!
NYC CYCLEBOATS: Think… a pedal wagon on the water! Crazy right?! Well this is currently a thing in Hoboken, NJ! I am actually renting one of their private boats for Kyle’s 30th birthday in August! You can have up to 26 people on their public or private boats and up to 12 people are allowed to pedal at once. The tours are 1.5hrs and you get to see so many amazing views of the city! The tours are also BYOB and you can read over a list of their safety precautions on the website!
USE CODE COURTANDKELLY FOR 10% OFF ANY BOOKING.
NYC HARBOR TOUR: Some of my best NYC memories have been on this boat with Captain Dave. This is a private charter boat you can rent out with friends (up to 6 people only). You are able to chose the tour path you want to take, I highly recommend doing the east side, so you are able to see the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty! If you’d like to read more about my experience with NYC Harbor Tours, you can check out this BLOG POST I wrote!
SEA THE CITY: Back in 2017 I took 4 of my best friends from high school on a Sea The City jetski tour around the city! Each of them left saying it was top 3 things they have EVER done. It was truly one of the coolest experiences I have had in New York City and one that I recommend to everyone. They are currently up and running out of Jersey City and you can check their website for more details. I wrote a full blog post highlighting my experience HERE.
New York Botanical Gardens: With NYC Phase 4 the Botanical Gardens are up and RUNNING. Note that if you would like to go you need to reserve a time and ticket ahead of time, you must wear a mask and only outdoor gardens and collections will be open!
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge: The simplest and cheapest of the bunch! Taking a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge will never get old for me. It is truly one of the most magical things to do in New York City. Especially right now as the crowds have lessened and it’s easier to take it all in without so many bikers and tourists racing around you.
