Walking through the streets of Brooklyn, art, paintings and beauty is a ubiquitous presence that is easy to overlook when the pace of the city tends to obscures your vision. As the weekends allows more time to explore more than just the 6 blocks from my apartment to the subway- I force myself to slow down and take in the beauty of this creative borough. The murals and street art is comparable to the more traditional indoor galleries, which allows for an organic, outdoor and ever-changing exhibit. If you are lucky, you can even catch a street artist in the midst of his craft on a Saturday afternoon- a true spectacle to watch.
This summer, I have been living in this Necessary Clothing tank dress (similar here) because it is so cool and easy to throw on. I dressed it up and accessorized with H & M Platform Boots a Necessary Clothing headpiece and a vintage bag I haggled down to $10 at the Brooklyn Flea Market (similar here)! I love this look because it is edgy, fun and has pops of color.
