These past three days have proven to be some of the prettiest I have spent while in Bloomington. We have received snow, snow, and more SNOW! For myself it makes sense because beginning today this is the last week I will spend at Indiana University for my junior year of college. I feel so lucky to have gotten to see the winter wonderland of Bloomington before I went abroad to Florence, Italy. Throughout this past winter storm I have had some fun playing with what type of outfits work best with this weather. I have been waiting to wear this velvet skirt from American Apparel since the day I bought it last spring. I paired it with an H&M white knit sweater, ASOS silver bar necklace, black tights, and a black pair of wedge booties from Necessary Clothing.
My holiday hint: Instead of going with the very literal bright red lip try something different like a dark cherry or purple for a holiday party!

LOVE this outfit. I have like the exact same style/size/color sweater from Aeropostale and a similar skirt (I wish mine was velvet though, love!) and I'm totally going to recreate this outfit. So so cute!
