Do you remember when you were little and you first started to flip through magazines and understand what fashion was? I remember that feeling I got when I first discovered Betsey Johnson.. I was obsessed. Her care free attitude her designs, she inspired me more than I knew was possible. I started dressing in my own way, mix and matching throughout my middle school and high school years. These feelings of inspiration slowly but surely still pegged me throughout my life. Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Adam Selman to name a few. Entering into “working in the fashion industry” can dilute you a bit. You begin to see originality go to waste and the norm sneaking in.
Then this past NYFW we got the amazing invitation to the Sachin & Babi show. I died. Then came back to a glorious lace, romantic dream that I can hardly explain. This show brought back that feeling that I have longed for, from that original discovery of Betsey Johnson. We were so inspired that we couldn’t help but to one day wear their inspiring collection. That dream quickly became reality and we are so excited to share this story with you. Enjoy!!
